A 2020 Holiday Gift Guide for Island-Loving Souls

October 29, 2020

If you’re like us, you might be thinking, “The holidays?! How is it time for that already?”

Time has moved in strange ways this year and if the earlier months are any indication, the holidays will be upon us before we know it. And because so many of us will be spending the celebratory season at a distance from our loved ones, we need to remember to incorporate ample time for shipping into the equation.

With that in mind, we decided to release our holiday gift guide early, to give you the ability to get all of your holidays gifts to your beloved recipients in time.

This year, we launched our online store after many requests to make our most popular gift shop items available for shipping. We’ve been so appreciative of all the support and enthusiasm from you all. It’s been fun to continue to add items to the shop based on demand and receive all of your positive messages. Seeing pictures of you enjoying your purchases is one of our favorite things!

This has been a challenging year in the tourism industry. Your purchases will not only make fun, tropical gifts for the island-lovers in your life, they’ll also help to continue to support our island team until more of you are able to return to the VI to see us. We deeply appreciate any support you can give us!

We’ll also happily gift wrap any items you like before we ship them, too.

Happy shopping!

The north shore of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands is one of those rare places that manages to feel both untouched and well-known. Stretching along the island’s Caribbean-facing coastline, this region is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful in the world—and it’s easy to see why. You can’t visit St. John without spending time on it. In fact, it’s probably the most popular reason why people visit St. John. ( Who among us hasn’t been lured into STJ dreaming by one of those iconic photos of Trunk Bay? ) However, there is so much to see and experience along the north shore. You likely will not be able to do it all on your first trip here. Here’s what to know about the north shore of St. John:

If you’ve been to St. John in the US Virgin Islands, you’ve likely encountered the wild donkeys around the island. Whether they approached you on the beach, strolled up to your Jeep’s window, or clip-clopped alongside you while shopping in Mongoose Junction, you were likely charmed by the presence of such a surprising farm animal on our little island. Because we’ve been posting a bunch of fun donkey videos lately over on our Facebook and Instagram accounts (if you’re not already following us, be sure to go and join in on the fun!), we thought we’d share a few fun details about the island’s donkey population.

The US Virgin Islands are a great place for both beginner and experienced snorkelers. The waters tend to be calm, clear, and warm year round, and there are many places where you can see an abundance of reef and marine life in relatively shallow waters. We love helping visitors experience the magic of the underwater world, and we have guided snorkeling tours and snorkel gear rentals available on all three islands: St. Thomas , St. John , and St. Croix .
