NEW FOR YOU IN THE VI: YOUR ALL-IN-ONE VACATION PLANNING RESOURCE

Hello island friends!

We’ve made some big, exciting changes here at Virgin Islands EcoTours to benefit both locals and visitors, and we’re so excited to finally be able to share them with you.

Due to unavoidable changes to our business in the first half of 2022, most notably the closing of our services on Honeymoon Beach, St. John (more on that in a minute!), we’ve shifted our focus and expanded our offerings in the USVI to better serve the wide-ranging needs of those who live and vacation here.

In case you missed it, we recently posted an update about Honeymoon Beach, St. John on social media. You may have seen that we had to halt our services on the beach (water sports, cabanas, Bikinis on the Beach Bar & Grill, and ecotours) back in January of this year due to circumstances beyond our control. Unfortunately, though we’d hoped to be able to reopen within a couple of months, Caneel Bay Resort has different plans for their long-term development and we will not be resuming services as they were with our team at the helm.

We really appreciate all of the kind words and support we’ve received from all of you who enjoyed visiting us there on the beach, and we want to give an extra special thank you to our team that helped us achieve the #1 Beach Bar in the Caribbean in 2022 via Caribbean Journal.

Now, it’s time to move onward and upward! With that in mind, you can now find us on social media @virginislandsecotours and @best_of_stjohn where we’re sharing everything that’s fun to do + see on St. Thomas and St. John. And the best part? We’ve made it easy for you to reserve all of those activities all in one place.

Our newly revamped website is designed to be your all-in-one resource to tours, water sports, boating, and beach days in the US Virgin Islands. You can now book an array of adventures on our site including services we provide directly ourselves, as well as curated experiences led by our trusted local partners.

We’re delighted to be able to feature island businesses that excel in showing you the absolute best that the VI has to offer. We believe planning your Virgin Islands vacation should be simple + easy, which is why we made it our focus to bring it to you all on one website.

Here are some of the activities on STT & STJ that you can now book directly with us:

  • Maho Bay Beach Days (complete with all the amenities!)

This season has been our first one in the USVI that we’ve been fortunate to have a retail shop located in the gorgeous, historic outdoor shopping space of Mongoose Junction. We’re located just behind Sun Dog Cafe, and our shop is where you check-in for your guided nature tours with us, as well as pick-up & drop off your rented water sports gear. If you’re coming to us for an upcoming tour like our popular Sea Turtle Kayak & Snorkel on the North Shore or to pick-up your snorkel gear & kayaks before heading to the North Shore beaches, it’s the perfect opportunity to also peruse the rest of Mongoose Junction . There are some excellent bars & restaurants, as well as many retail shops where you can find incredible souvenirs to bring home with you. The north shore of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands is one of those rare places that manages to feel both untouched and well-known. Stretching along the island’s Caribbean-facing coastline, this region is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful in the world—and it’s easy to see why. You can’t visit St. John without spending time on it. In fact, it’s probably the most popular reason why people visit St. John. ( Who among us hasn’t been lured into STJ dreaming by one of those iconic photos of Trunk Bay? ) However, there is so much to see and experience along the north shore. You likely will not be able to do it all on your first trip here. Here’s what to know about the north shore of St. John:
